Artwork Guidelines for Printing & Signage
Follow these simple guidelines to make sure your banners, signage, business cards and branded products print sharp, correct and exactly as you expect — first time, every time.
Accepted File Formats
For the best results, please supply print-ready artwork as a high-resolution PDF (preferred), or as AI, EPS, PSD, TIFF, or high-quality JPG/PNG. Vector files (PDF, AI, EPS) are ideal for logos and signage because they scale to any size without losing quality.
Resolution
Supply raster images at a minimum of 300 DPI at final print size. Large-format banners can be 100–150 DPI at full size. Low-resolution web images (72 DPI) will look blurry when printed.
Colour Mode
Set artwork to CMYK, not RGB. Screens use RGB but printing uses CMYK — supplying RGB can cause noticeable colour shifts. For exact brand colours, specify Pantone (PMS) references.
Bleed & Safe Area
Add 3–5mm bleed on all sides and keep important text and logos at least 5mm inside the trim line so nothing is cut off during finishing.
Fonts
Please outline / convert all fonts to curves, or supply the font files. This prevents text reflowing or substituting on our systems.
Sizes & Scale
Always set your document to the final print size (or a clean ratio of it, e.g. 1:10 for very large banners). Let us know the exact finished dimensions in millimetres. If you are unsure of the right size for your banner, sign or business card, our team will gladly advise.
How to Submit Your Artwork
Email your print-ready files to info@webdesignexpertssa.co.za or send them via WhatsApp to 081 285 7634, along with the product, quantity and finished size. Files larger than 20MB can be shared via Google Drive, Dropbox or WeTransfer.
